Whenever the word 'belt' is mentioned  or conceived,  the gender that readily comes to mind,  is the male gender- rather than the female as it is often believed  that belts are secondary items in a lady's  wardrobe. This could be the reason why most fashion outlets and/or stores [out there] do not usually have so many different  brands of ladies belts  available. However, the truth remains  that ladies still hold belts in high regards. A lady will not just go for any kind of belt- everything on her [including her belt,  of course] must pass a message.

The belt could possibly form an integral part of a lady's outlook. And aside from using it as a form of support- though fashionably- when she is donning a pair of denim pants, belts- especially the wide types- could be an accessory that helps to highlight a lady's shape. For instance, she could decide to use the belt right under her bustline [while putting on a mini gown] in order to make her body outline- most especially her chest and hips- more pronounced. Also, she could choose a simple(r) and more modest outlook by placing the belt around her torso.

One could say that we have certainly past the times when belts are seen as secondary to a lady; there are now several ladies belts finished to great designs that should add style to a lady's appearance. Nonetheless, the availability- or more specifically, scarcity- of these belts in the market remains an issue but this should change as more ladies embrace the use of belts of different colors on regular basis.
